There is an upcoming opportunity for individuals with disabilities and seniors to have their voice heard on two initiatives under development by the State of Ohio.  The proposals will impact individuals who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, and seniors who benefit from one of five types of waivers including PASSPORT, Choices, Assisted Living, Ohio Home Care and Transitions II Aging Carve-Out Waiver.

The event will take place on Tuesday, February 14 from 1– 4 p.m. at the Tri-County Mental Health Services office at 90 Hospital Dr. in Athens, Ohio. To participate, contact Betsy Johnson or Karen Lindberg (at NAMI) at 1-800-686-2646 or betsy@namiohio.org

NOTE: This forum is hosted and organized by The Ohio Office of Health Transformation and the Olmstead Task Force, not AAA8.

To provide email input on the Unified Waiver Concept Paper to Ohio Medicaid, send comments to: Matt.Hobbs@jfs.ohio.gov.

A statewide conference call is also being coordinated for Feb. 17 to collect input as well as an online survey. (details on these are not currently available to AAA8)
